Background

Solar technology is a substantial part of my professional live since 1980, beginning with the know - how transfer for PV thin film technology from the University of Stuttgart and afterwards at the end of the eighties with specification and rump of the MIS cell fabrication. In 1995 I moved from the cell production line to the module development department.

I was responsible within the module development department of Schott Solar for material selection and testing, equipment specification and putting into the production as well for quality audits at OEM and joint venture partners.

In addition I managed European and German public founded programs with in collaboration with German and European institutes and universities (e. g. Fraunhofer ISE, TÜV Rheinland, PTB Berlin, Humboldt University Berlin, ECN, JRC Ispra, Loughborough University, Ben-Gurion University Israel, Ines Chambery.)

In addition a was responsible for PV Module testing an certification according IEC 61215 and 61730. Also for sustainability and recycling of PV modules.
